Hello lovely people,
It’s been a while since I last wrote here - and there’s a good reason. Behind the scenes, The Illustrarium has been quietly blossoming. From buzzing local markets to new product launches and preparing for a rather exciting event, it’s been a busy and joyful season of making, painting, and planning.
🌿 Pop-Up at john lewis in exeter
I’m delighted to share that I’ll be hosting a pop-up shop at John Lewis in Exeter from Monday 1st to Sunday 7th September 2025.
This will be my very first time in a large department store, and I’ll be bringing a curated collection of eco-conscious stationery, art prints, and homewares, including my brand new tea towels, which will be available for the very first time at this event.
John Lewis, High Street, Exeter, EX4 3LN
Opening Hours:
Mon-Sat: 9.00am - 6.00pm
Sun: 10.30am - 4.30pm
It would mean the world if you’re able to pop in and say hello. I’ll be there all week and would love to meet you in person.
What’s new?
In between event prep, I’ve also been working on lots of new designs.
A few highlights:
New Tea Towels: My hand-painted Regency Floral and Orchids & Butterflies designs are among a few now available as soft, premium cotton tea towels. These will launch first at John Lewis, and then be added to my Etsy shop shortly afterwards.
Butterfly Garlands: A delicate, fluttering new addition. Printed on heavy 350gsm card and double sided, perfect for adding a little colour and joy to your walls, windows, or mantel pieces. These have been very popular at summer markets.
Ceramics: A new creative path I’ve recently begun exploring. I’m absolutely loving working with clay - from sculpted sacred hearts to hand-painted bowls. I’ve even signed up for a ceramics course starting in September, so stay tuned for more on that in the months ahead.
New Paintings: Alongside ceramics, I’ve also been working on a new series of hand-painted artworks. These pieces explore themes close to my heart - from spiritual symbolism to intricate florals and the natural environment - and they’ve been a grounding and joyful part of my recent studio time. You may have seen a few peeks on Instagram, but there’s more to come as the series evolves and they will soon be added to my Etsy shop.
🌸 Thank you for supporting small
Your support - whether through kind messages, Etsy orders, or visits at local events - makes this entire journey possible for me. From my Devon studio to your homes, every piece is made with care and intention.
